Whether you live off the Newtownards Road in East Belfast, up the Antrim Road in North Belfast, near the Lisburn Road in South Belfast or along the Falls and Glen Road in West Belfast, RoofersNI can put you in touch with a fully insured roofer who already works in your part of the city. One WhatsApp message is all it takes, and there is no charge to ask.

Belfast has one of the most varied housing stocks in Northern Ireland. Rows of Victorian red brick terraces sit beside 1930s semi-detached homes and the large 1970s estates that ring the city. Each comes with its own roofing quirks. Period terraces usually have natural Welsh slate held on with nails that rust over a century, so slipped and cracked slates are a constant job. Many of those homes also have back return extensions finished with old felt flat roofs that are well past their best.

The interwar semis often have clay or concrete tiles, decorative ridges and shared chimney stacks that need repointing and new lead flashing. The 1970s estates tend to need fascia and soffit replacement, guttering upgrades and moss removal from concrete tiles that hold the damp.

Then there is the weather. Belfast sees rain on well over half the days of the year, and the wind funnels in off Belfast Lough. Water finds the smallest gap, and a small leak left over winter can mean soaked insulation, stained ceilings and rotten timbers by spring. Regular checks and quick repairs are far cheaper than a full replacement later on.

Tell us your street or postcode, what you have noticed and, if you can, send a photo or two. We will match you with a local roofer who knows Belfast homes. Mark it URGENT if water is already coming in.
