Emergency Roof Repair in Northern Ireland

When your roof fails, it rarely happens at a convenient time. A gale rips off ridge tiles overnight, water starts dripping through a bedroom ceiling, or a falling branch punches a hole in the slates. RoofersNI connects homeowners across Northern Ireland with fully insured local roofers who can get out to you quickly and make your home watertight.

Storm damage, missing or slipped tiles and slates, active leaks, flat roofs torn back by the wind, chimney pots or stacks that have become unstable and any structural damage from fallen trees. If water is getting in, or something on the roof looks like it could fall, treat it as urgent.

Water ingress gets more expensive every hour it is left. Rain soaks insulation, stains plaster, damages wiring and rots roof timbers. A quick temporary repair, such as a tarpaulin or refixing a few slates, often costs a fraction of the interior repairs that follow a week of rain.

Northern Ireland's storm season usually runs from October through to March, and named storms regularly cause widespread damage. In Belfast, wind funnels in off the Lough and hits exposed terraces and estates hard, while Lisburn and the Lagan Valley see lifted tiles and damaged flat roofs on the higher ground around the city.

Never attempt roof repairs yourself, especially in wind or rain. Wet slates are extremely slippery and falls from height cause serious injuries every year. Stay indoors, move valuables away from leaks, put down buckets and turn off electrics near any water. Leave the climbing to a fully insured professional.
